About design
Design is our future.
Sweden is a wonderful place. We´re a prosperous country, boasting a highly productive and well educated workforce. Swedish companies, however, are facing increasing competition, on both national and international levels.
In order to meet these challenges, we need to develop and renew our companies. Whether it´s a question of developing good, services, processes, messages, or environments, there are major gains to be made by applying well conceived design and design policies.
At SVID we are convinced that design delivers a good return on investment. We see design as an important and necessary development force for both businesses and public organizations.
Our definition of design
”Design” for SVID is a process of developing purposeful and innovative solutions that embody functional and aesthetic demands based on the needs of the intended user. Design is applied in the development of goods, services, processes, messages and environments.
