Call for papers
Design Research Journal is published by SVID, the Swedish Industrial Design Foundation, twice a year and is the first Swedish scientifically oriented journal within the field of Design Research. The purpose of the journal is to communicate research for the benefit of the academic community as well as practice.
Design Research Journal has two parts:
One part consists of research based articles and can be either theoretically and/or empirically based. An academic committee reviews the articles in a double blind reviewing process to ensure a good academic standard. The articles can be published either in English or in Swedish. We prefer original, new articles. If the article has been published at a recent conference we can consider to publish the article in Swedish. We think it is of great value that conference articles receive a wider audience.
Another part consists of research related reports from conferences, research projects, interviews, reviews of thesis and other books, news, and a calendar. These are published in Swedish.
The spring issue (no 1) has a certain theme for the research articles and a guest editor. No 1 2010 had Service Design as a theme. Stefan Holmlid, Linköping University was guest editor.
About the papers
Design Research Journal fall issue (no 2) is open for all themes related to design research.

Language of submission: English or Swedish.
Length of submission: 25,000 characters (including blanks and bibliography)
Style for references: Harvard
Manuscript deadline: 1 September 2010
The journal will be published in October 2010
