The goal is to contribute to a sustainable development of the society and to strengthen the role of design and the design profession.
SVID Design Open 2010 kicks off at three cities:
- Sundsvall, September 21
- Stockholm, September 23
- Gothenburg, September 24
Welcome to a whole day of inspirational lectures and start of the working process. The contest runs throughout the fall semester with finals and awards ceremony in the spring.
Each team gets a professional designer as a coach. The coach supports the team for a total of 16 hours during the contest period.
The contest can be integrated in many ways in teaching. At secondary school level as part of design hours and at university level elective course, project or part of other design courses.
This year's competition task will focus on "Energy in everyday life" How can we influence people's behavior? How can we become aware of our energy consumption, can it be fun to be energy efficient, what are tomorrow's smart products, services and concepts?
