Welcome to the Sustainability Guide

In this guide, SVID, the Swedish Industrial Design Foundation aims to plant a seed that will grow into an understanding of the role of design methodology in moving society towards sustainability. Whether you are an entrepreneur, designer, architect, community developer, product developer, student, researcher or an organization, the guide will take you through the jungle of such concepts as eco-design, biomimicry and life cycle analysis and will help you to arrive at your final goal, which is to find the inspiration to take action!

Reflections

Robin Edman, CEO SVID, Swedish Industrial Design Foundation. Link to Inspiration/Reflections.

"Since 80% of the environmental impact of a product or service is determined in the early stages of the development process, it is extremely important that sustainable thinking is incorporated from the beginning. Only then can we use design as a tool to ensure a sustainable society."

Robin Edman, CEO, SVID
